Mama's a liar

From the Desk of Davis
(Again)

Hi again! It's me, Davis. My mom was supposed to be back to her usual blogging ways today, but she  said that too many of her brain cells had been depleted since I have made her listen to this song approximately 7,843 times in the past week:

What can I say? I love me some Elmo! And how catchy is that song?! Lately Mama has been trying to get away with listening to Taylor Swift in the car instead of my Sesame Street c.d., but don't worry, I make sure she doesn't get away with that crap - all I have to do is yell in the backseat until her ears start to bleed, and ta da! The music gets changed.

No promises that she'll be able to get her act together tomorrow, but she'll try to do better next week.

Happy Thursday!

Love,

Davis

It's a good thing you're so cute, or else I think mama might be tempted to put you up for sale!

I blame Big Bird and Snuffleupagus for agreeing to hear the song. Just imagine, had they said no, there wouldn't be an elmo song. Frankly, I don't know if the lesson in friendship and encouraging his song was worth it, Big Bird.

Hey! This is Brody's favorite song/video too!! I wish it was longer than a 2 minutes though since we also listen to it repeatedly. Have you listened to the tortellini song?? It's second on the list but much more catchy/catchier?... ;) and a minute longer. -Rachel

Oh we went through this faze! Probably 100,000 of the youtube hits are from our house alone. There was a time when Elmo's song made me want to jump out of a window. We eventually learned to mix it up a little with India Arie singing ABCs with Elmo (something about that was also like crack to my kids) and the duck song (Elmo had 4 ducks quack quack quack).
Enjoy!
